Camp is over for 2025. In 2026 VYF is going on tour and there will likely not be a camp in August of 2026. Check back later to see about camp in 2027.

We have left the 2025 info here so you can get an idea what camp is all about.

Registration and Cost

Registration will happen in a two phase approach.

Phase 1 Registration will sign you up for the camp. This includes signing up for the instruction, food, and accommodation. It will also confirm your primary instrument – fiddle, guitar or piano.

We will also ask you for some ideas on what else you wish to partake in. Do you piano players wish some instruction on the accordion? Would fiddlers like to take a crack at the mando?

Phase 1 registration is now open. We use the zone 4 registration system for camp. Please use this link to register. https://tinyurl.com/vyf-camp

Phase 2 Registration will come closer to when the camp starts, once we have the entire Program and schedule set up. During this Phase, you will be asked to sign up for the program elements you wish to participate in.

Full Music Instruction Program Cost

The full program includes facility use, meals, tenting, music instruction, optional classes such as art and sports, evening activities such as jams and dances, additional activities such as zipline, climbing wall, canoes. Zipline and climbing wall will be prioritized for children and youth. Adults can participate if numbers and time allow. Please note all participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is a registered camper, either for the full program or the non-instructional program.

Non-Instructional Program Cost

If you are not receiving instruction then your camp fee includes facility use, meals, tenting, optional classes such as art and sports, evening activities such as jams and dances, additional activities such as zipline, climbing wall, canoes. Zipline and climbing wall will be prioritized for children and youth. Adults can participate if numbers and time allow. This option does not include instruction in any musical instrument.

Non-instructional registration is only for people supporting others in a family group that is receiving instruction. For example a parent, sibling, spouse, or partner. Please only sign-up for this option if you have a family member receiving instruction.

Accommodation

Tenting space is included in the above prices (bring your own tent etc). There is other options you can upgrade to though. The cabins and a-frames sleep up to 8 and include a mattress but you need to bring your own sleeping bag or linens. Cabins and A-Frames are rented as a unit but feel free to connect with other families and share if you want.

A few rules that you might want to be aware of before registering. The full list can be found under the Terms & Conditions
